Global Leadership and Citizenship

Sustainable Service in the Sacred Valley and the 2017 Global Student Leaders Summit

Join us as we travel to Peru to explore global citizenship in a changing world. We’ll spend time learning the history of this region including the Inca Empire, visiting Incan ruins, learning how local artisans are maintaining their ancient traditions in a world that is constantly changing. We’ll spend two days conducting community service projects with a local service partner in a community near Ollantaytambo before moving on to visit the “Lost City of the Inca”, Machu Picchu. Dating back to 1450, this sacred location is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been listed as one of the “New” Seven Wonders of the World. Finally, we’ll head back to Lima where we’ll participate in a two day leadership conference, The Global Student Leaders Summit before heading back to the United States.

College Aid Planning (CAP)

College Aid Planning (CAP) Program

Student loan debt owed in the U.S. is over $1.2 Trillion; larger than the total amount of credit card debt and auto loans.

Two of the main reasons families accrue so much college debt are 1) the inability to prepare/save for college; and 2) difficulty understanding the complicated financial aid process.

HOBY’s CAP program provides assistance to families and Ambassadors through the aid process. We will work you through the financial aid web, ensuring the necessary forms are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
